Riyadh hosts the 43rd World Tourism Day, focusing on tourism investment

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is welcoming delegates from around the world to Riyadh, hosting the 43rd Edition of World Tourism Day 2023. 

In collaboration with the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), the 43rd World Tourism Day aims to emphasize the pivotal role of investments in revitalizing and sustaining the tourism industry. 

UNWTO has identified investments as a top priority for tourism's recovery and future growth and development. 

In this regard, World Tourism Day 2023 underscores the pressing need for more targeted and innovative investments that contribute to the well-being of people, the preservation of our planet, and the advancement of prosperity.

World Tourism Day 2023 serves as a clarion call to action for the global community, governments, multilateral financial institutions, development partners, and private sector investors to rally around a new tourism investment strategy. 

Under the theme of "Tourism and Green Investments," World Tourism Day 2023 in Riyadh will propose its Global Tourism Investment Framework and hold high-level panels concentrating on the challenges and opportunities surrounding investment in tourism during the two-day event (27 - 28 September), in "what is set to be the biggest celebration to date."
