Saudi Arabia announces new travel measures – Roya News English

The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia has announced new travel instructions in an effort to combat the coronavirus.  The new procedures will go into effect as of 1am Wednesday, Feb. 9.

The authority said in a statement that “it must be confirmed that citizens leaving the country have received the booster dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, excluding those under the age of 16, or the exempted groups, as shown in the Tawaklna app.”

The authority added, “All arrivals to the Kingdom, including citizens, must hold a negative certificate for an approved PCR test conducted within the past 48 hours from the date of departure to the Kingdom, with the exception of those under the age of eight, taking into consideration the COVID-19 regulations of the countries of arrival.”
