Saudi Arabia declares lifting travel suspension for citizens as of May 17 – ARAB TIMES – KUWAIT NEWS – Arab Times Kuwait English Daily

RIYADH, May 2: An official source at the Saudi Ministry of Interior said on Sunday that the travel suspension for citizens would be lifted as of May 17. This came following the statement issued on January 29, 2021, on the date of lifting the suspension of travel for citizens, and the full opening of land, sea, and airports, starting from Monday 1:00 am, May 17, according to the source.

The decision includes those who had two doses of the (COVID-19) vaccine and those who received one dose provided that 14 days have passed since they were vaccinated as confirmed by the data displayed on “Tawakkalna” App.
It also includes citizens recovered from the coronavirus provided they have spent less than six months frome their infection as confirmed by the data displayed on Tawakkalna App, it said.

Citizens under 18 years are included in the move provided that they submit an insurance policy before travel approved by the Saudi Central Bank that covers risks of (COVID-19) outside Saudi Arabia, in line with the instructions of the relevant authorities, it noted.
