Saudi Arabia establishes new rules for travel starting Wednesday

Saudi Arabia has established new rules for arrivals and departures from its territory to be implemented as of Wednesday.

The Egyptian Minister of Manpower, Mohamed Saafan on Monday received a report through the Ministry’s Labor Representation Office at the Egyptian Consulate in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, as part of its follow-up to the conditions of Egyptian workers in the country amid coronavirus.

A statement by the Ministry of Manpower explained that the report received by the Minister from the Office of Labor Representation outlined the new terms and conditions as follows:

The new rules require a new condition for citizens to leave outside Saudi Arabia to take the third booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine for those who have spent three months from receiving the second dose, with the exception of age groups under 16 years old, or excluded groups as shown in the “Tawakkalna” application. Saudi Arabia has obligated all those coming to its lands, including citizens – regardless of their vaccination status – to submit a negative result of an approved PCR test, or an approved test for rapid antigens of coronavirus (COVID-19 Antigen Test) within 48 hours from the date of departure to the Saudi Arabia or entry to it, with the
