‎World Travel & Tourism Council plans $10.5 bln investments in Saudi Arabia in next 5 years

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) plans to invest more than $10.5 billion (SAR 38.5 billion) in Saudi Arabia within the next five years, President and CEO, Julia Simpson, said during the 22nd World Travel & Tourism Council Global Summit.

The Summit launched today, Nov. 28 in Riyadh.

This event brings together the most prominent leaders in the travel and tourism sector across the globe to discuss the future of this sector in the long term, Simpson said, pointing to the importance of this move for global economy.

Elsewhere, Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb expressed delight at hosting the 22nd edition of the World Travel & Tourism Council Global Summit in Saudi Arabia.

The Summit, held under the “Travel for a Better Future” Theme, will focus on the sector’s value, not only for global economy, but for the entire planet, especially for the world’s societies.
