SINGAPORE: The biennial Asia Pacific Maritime (APM), Southeast Asia’s maritime, workboat and offshore exhibition and conference will be held in-person at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore next month, from 16 to 18 March. Supported by the Maritime Port Authority and Singapore Exhibition & Convention Bureau, APM returns as the first large-scale maritime trade event serving the industry community in Southeast Asia. It will feature six official pavilions with some 7,000 attendees expected to attend the event in-person. The last in-person event was held in 2018.

The return of APM coincides with the Singapore government’s recent expansion of the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) scheme to include the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Vaccinated travellers from these countries can now travel to Singapore without quarantine from February 25. They can start to apply for the VTL pass as early as 10am on February 2022.

“We’re excited that the industry is reconnecting again. With the expanded VTL scheme, we look forward to welcoming even more delegates from the UAE, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Meeting face-to-face is exceptionally essential for maritime professionals and the resumption of APM 2022 provides a perfect platform for the community to pick up conversations again,” said Yeow Hui
