Dubai urges residents to get fully vaccinated before travelling abroad

Dubai has urged everyone to get vaccinated against COVID-19 before travelling abroad during the upcoming holiday season. A person must give 14 days' time to the body to make the vaccine effective, the heath experts urged residents. This decision has been taken to ensure the safety of residents and citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic. Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum presided over a meeting of the emergency team to review the measures in Dubai to curb the spread of the virus. The meeting was called to assess the evolving global situation in which new highly-transmissible variants of the virus are raising new concerns for authorities. The authorities regularly urge residents to get the jab for the safety of the society and family members. The UAE ranked the highest in the world for vaccine doses distributed per 100 persons. The authorities said that over 15 million vaccine doses have been administered in the emirates. The Dubai emergency team told residents to assess the situation before commencing the journey.
