Travel from UAE: More countries scrap prior PCR test for travellers

More countries are opening up to international travellers as COVID cases are on a downward trend and communities around the world learn to live with the coronavirus. One travel requirement being eased is pre-departure PCR test. Here’s an updated list of additional countries that lifted the prior test rule, based on recent announcements, with starting dates: Fully-vaccinated foreign and domestic tourists are now allowed to visit Boracay Island without the need of a negative PCR test result since February 1, 2022. Partially-vaccinated or unvaccinated tourists are still required to submit a negative RT-PCR test result within 72 hours of their travel date. However, the no-need-for-PCR-test policy does not apply across the country yet — though specific destinations have adopted it. There are at least 14 destinations — including cities of Davao and Zamboanga, and the province of Ilocos Norte — that had scrapped the requirement. Local governments in the Philippines are allowed to impose or lift travel restrictions based on their own situation.
