UAE Business: UAE H1 tourism revenues reach $5.17bn – Gulf Digital News

The UAE tourism sector’s revenues surpassed AED19 billion ($5.17 billion) in the first half of 2022, it was revealed at a Cabinet meeting.

"The total number of hotel guests reached 12 million, achieving 42% growth, and we expect a strong tourism performance in this winter season," His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said chairing the UAE Cabinet meeting, held at Qasr Al Watan Abu Dhabi.

The Cabinet reviewed the achievements of the tourism sector in the country in the first half of the year 2022. The results showed an increase in tourism's contribution to the national economy by 12%, said a Wam news agency report.
