World Government Summit 2023: UAE minister addresses challenges in space travel to unlock its potential

Dubai: “For all its grandeur potential, space travel and development represents significant technical, operational and financial challenges, which means that this planet that we’re living in will remain home for generations to come,” said Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Advanced Technology, Chairperson of the UAE Space Agency. She was speaking on the sidelines of the World Government Summit 2023 on the topic “Space and Planet: The universal race to save Earth.” She said the challenges of space travel and development are not unsurmountable and can be faced with determination and collaboration. “The benefits we stand to gain from the inspiration and development we have created so far outweigh any difficulties we might encounter along the way.
