Bahrain, UK, Bosnia, Cyprus sign Air Transport deal | THE DAILY TRIBUNE | KINGDOM OF BAHRAIN

Mohammed bin Thamer Al Kaabi, the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, yesterday concluded two air transportation bilateral agreements with the United Kingdom and of Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Cyprus, in the presence of Hussain Ahmed Al Shuail, Undersecretary for Civil Aviation Affairs and Ebtesam Mohammed Al Shamlan, Assistant Undersecretary for Air Transportation and Aviation Safety and Security.

The agreements were signed at the Sakhir Air Base under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain. Countersigning the agreements were the British Ambassador to Bahrain, Roderick Drummond, Vojin Mitrovi, Minister of Communications and Traffic of the Bosnian Council of Ministers and Yiannis Karousos, Minister of Transport, Communications and Works on the Cypriot side.

These agreements include the most recent recommendations by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) for airline safety regulations, aviation security, environmental protection, multiple designations of air carriers, as well as opportunities for national airlines to engage in activities and sell air transportation products, as well as automated booking systems.
