EgyptAir resumes Cairo-Moscow flights on Friday after weeks of hiatus – Egypt Today

CAIRO – 15 April 2022: Flag carrier EgyptAir will resume flights on Friday between Cairo and Moscow after weeks of hiatus in the wake of the Russia-Ukraine crisis. The flag carrier announced that it will operate one daily flight between the two countries. The Moscow-bound flights operated by EgyptAir will take off from Terminal 2 and will depart to the Russian capital on 9:30 AM Cairo Time. The flight will leave Moscow to Cairo on 10 PM on the same day. EgyptAir asked customers to abide by the health measures required to travel to Moscow and to show negative results of PCR tests taken within 48 hours before departure. The company earlier urged its clients who have pre-booked tickets and those who seek to travel between Cairo and Moscow to contact its client service center on 1717 or accredited tour operators for more details. Last February, Russia started a military operation in Ukraine. As a result of the operation number of sanctions was imposed on the Russian economy. International flights were also halted due to the operation temporarily.
