Marsa Alam Airport to receive 109 flights from 12 European countries this week

Marsa Alam International Airport will receive 109 international flights arriving from 12 European countries this week, starting from Saturday until Friday.

The weekly airport flight schedules revealed that these flights are coming from several countries, including three flights from Belgium, five from the Netherlands, 20 from Italy, 22 from Germany, 30 from the Czech Republic, which is the largest flight arrival, 18 from Poland, four from Switzerland, one from Luxembourg, one from Slovakia, two from Austria, one from Hungary, two from France and one from Lithuania.

Tourist expert Sayed al-Jabry, director of one of the major tourism companies, said that the European tourist flow is escalating to Egyptian tourist destinations, especially Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Sharm el-Sheikh.

He explained that German tourism tops the European countries and records the highest rates of arrival in Hurghada, and in Marsa Alam, the most arriving trips are from the Czech Republic.

Healthy recovery

Egypt’s tourism industry has been recently getting back on its feet following the knock-on effect to the country’s economic sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
