Sotheby’s to Auction Collection of Hind Rostom’s Jewelry

A pair of diamond cluster earrings by David Webb that used to belong to the late actress.

Late Egyptian actress Hind Rostom was known for her passion for collecting jewelry from around the world.

The icon was also a regular at auctions, looking for diamonds and rubies, her favorite gemstones.

Now, collectors and jewelry aficionados will get the chance to own some amazing pieces that belonged to Rostom with a selection of jewelry from her personal collection being offered by her family for the first time.

Sotheby’s Magnificent & Noble Jewels auction in Geneva will be auctioning eight lots on November 10.

A diamond and emerald bracelet, and a pair of diamond cluster earrings by David Webb, will also be exhibited at Sotheby’s at Dubai International Financial Center on October 3-7.

Hind Rostom (1929 – 2011) was an Egyptian actress and one of the most loved cinema figures in Egypt and the Arab world. She starred in over 80 films and was seen as a daring Arab symbol of feminism and independence.

She retired at the height of her fame in 1979 and kept away from the spotlight after that, remaining an enduring mystery to the public.
