Beirut Airport's Cafématik shuts down, Zaatar w Zeit among others to replace
Situated at the Beirut–Rafic Hariri International Airport, the renowned cafe, Cafématik, is shutting down after over 18 years with Akle, Balkoumi, and Salt.
In a post on Instagram, the cafe announced, "With a heavy heart and deep gratitude, we write this message to inform you that this week will mark the end of an era for us," stating that it will be closing its doors on Monday, July 17.
However, many restaurants are reportedly opening at the airport, including the casual Lebanese urban eatery, Zaatar w Zeit, which expressed on Twitter: "Hey tweeps, so I was roaming the offices today and heard some big news; can you keep a secret?"
