Exclusive: No institutional quarantine for expat families

Muscat: There is no need for institutional quarantine for citizens and expat families coming to Oman, the Ministry of Health said on Thursday. Speaking to the Times of Oman, a senior official of the MoH confirmed that an exception has been added for the citizens and families coming to Oman. "Families coming to the Sultanate with their children aged 18 and below are exempted from institutional health quarantine with a commitment of domestic isolation or quarantine." This circular was issued on Wednesday from the Ministry of Health and has been sent to the Civil Aviation Authority. Earlier, Omani citizens coming to the Sultanate via land, sea and airports had been exempted from institutional quarantine, the Supreme Committee said on Tuesday.
