Global passenger traffic expected to recover by 2024

Muscat: The Executive Director of the International Airports Council expects that the year 2024 will be a milestone in the recovery of global passenger traffic to reach about 9. 4 billion passengers. Global passenger traffic witnessed a 92 percent recovery by the end of August 2023, with a total of 4. 7 billion passengers so far, said CEO of Oman Airports. The Airport Innovation Conference and Exhibition began in Muscat, organised by Oman Airports. The conference discussed latest innovations in the airport industry with the participation of about 400 local and international figures and 60 speakers from the world's airport leaders, aviation technology developers, airlines, civil aviation authorities, industry suppliers and air transport experts.
