Indian private carriers asked to suspend operations to Oman

Muscat: Starting from Monday, Indian private airlines like Indigo, SpiceJet and GoAir will not be allowed to operate flights between Oman and India as part of the air bubble agreement, according to travel agents based in Oman.Speaking to the Times of Oman, a leading travel agent in Muscat said: “The decision is based on a letter issued by Anup Pant, Undersecretary to the Government of India, Agreement Division, Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India." In the letter, Pant said: “The Civil Aviation Authority of Oman vide email dated 29.10.2020 has informed that from 9.11.2020 the capacity of air bubble agreement will be limited to 5,000 seats per week for each carrier.”“In this regard, it is conveyed that from 9.11.2020, 5,000 seats per week for operation between Oman and India
