Muscat: The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology is reviewing its plans for 2024 and the achievements of 2023 during a press meeting on Sunday.The meeting is chaired by Saeed bin Hamoud bin Saeed Al Mawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology.Highlights:98 tenders with an estimated value of more than RO612 million riyals were issued in 2023, including 56 tenders for the transport and logistics sector and 32 others for the information and communications technology sector.RO1.6 billion is the total investment opportunity for the first and second phases in the transport and logistics sectorsOmani ports received around 11,000 ships in 2023, the volume of general and bulk cargo reached more than 93 million tonnes, and the number of ships and marine units registered under the Omani flag is 662.72 percent of the performance percentage of government institutions in measuring government digital transformation and simplifying the procedures for 578 digital services.The number of transactions completed through the Takamul platform for the year 2023 is 262 million, and the efforts of the government's digital transformation program resulted in the development of 39 electronic platforms and portals.The value of the partnerships and deals signed at COMEX 2023 was RO40 million.?
