Mercedes-Benz EQE showcased in Oman

Muscat – After the EQS, the EQE – the second model to be built on the new Mercedes-Benz platform for electric vehicles – is being showcased to car enthusiasts at the Mercedes-Benz showroom in Muscat for a three-day period ending Thursday.

Speaking at the event, Shaun Michael, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Oman, said electric cars are slowly and steadily entering the Gulf region. “This is the first time the EQE 350+ is being showcased in Oman.”

He described it as a sporty business saloon offering all the essential functions of the EQS in a more compact format, “a perfect fit for the desires of a modern generation of customers”.

He added, “The EQE 350+ – with total power output of 215kW – is expected to have a driving range of up to 654km, as well as fast-charging allowing battery recharge from ten to 80 per cent in about 32 minutes.”

He described the MBUX Hyperscreen as the “absolute highlight” in the EQE’s interior. “This large, curved screen unit sweeps almost from A-pillar to A-pillar. Three screens sit under a glass cover and appear to merge into one.”

The EQE can be customised to customer’s request.
