According to Sheikh Hilal bin Hamad Al-Mujali, the Director of Duqm Airport at Oman Airports Company, the consistent growth in passenger and flight numbers indicates the concerted efforts to fortify air traffic and ease accessibility to the region. From 12,663 arrivals and 11,706 departures in 2020, Duqm Airport has witnessed a remarkable surge, recording 33,348 arrivals and 31,514 departures in 2023. Sheikh Al-Mujali attributes these statistics to the collective endeavours to attract investments and bolster tourism in the Wilayat of Duqm.
