Over 1,600 Omanis avail public transport on three open days

A total of 1,684 Omanis participated in ‘Public Transport Open Day’, availing free bus services in Muscat and Salalah from May 2 to May 4.Muscat – The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has announced that 1,684 Omanis participated in ‘Public Transport Open Day’, availing free bus services in Muscat and Salalah from May 2 to May 4.

Mwasalat highlighted the fact that the initiative was part of Logistics Day 2024 celebrations, aimed at promoting accessibility and convenience of public transportation. The event encouraged Omanis to use public transport services, fostering a culture of sustainable commuting.

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance public transport accessibility, Mwasalat will provide two years of complimentary rides for college and university students in Muscat and Salalah.
