Classic cars exhibition gets underway at The Pearl-Qatar

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A vintage Rolls Royce Phantom dating back to 1931, is among the highlights of the Qatar Classic Cars Contest and Exhibition 2021, organised by Gulf Qatari Classic Cars Association at Medina Centrale, The Pearl-Qatar. Held under the patronage of Qatar Museums chairperson HE Sheikha Al Mayssa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, the event was opened Wednesday by Gulf Qatari Classic Car Association chairman HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani, along with vice chairman Omar Alfardan, and other dignitaries. Dignitaries touring the exhibition Over 50 classic cars are on display at the exhibition that runs until November 20. Speaking to Gulf Times on the sidelines of the exhibition, Alfardan said that the association used to organise the classic cars exhibition for several years but it was stopped last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Some of the classic cars at the exhibition "We are happy to resume it again and grateful to the authorities for permitting us to hold the exhibition. We have participation of a big number of classic car owners in this exhibition. This year we have launched our website. This is the first time that the exhibition is organised under the patronage of HE Sheikha
