HMC organises summer training programme for UDST students



The programme- started on May 12 and will run until July 28.

Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Engineering and Health Facilities Department is organising a nine-week summer training programme for final-year engineering students of University of Doha for Science and Technology.The programme, which started on May 12 and runs until July 28, includes students majoring in mechanical and electrical engineering. This initiative is part of HMC's efforts to enhance the professional awareness and practical skills of engineering students at Qatari universities, which aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030.HMC’s Engineering and Health Facilities Department held an introductory seminar about the training programme under the patronage of Hamad Nasser al-Khalifa, HMC’s chief of Health Facilities Development. Mohamed Fetais al-Marri, acting CEO of the Engineering and Health Facilities Department and Abdullah Khalaf al-Kubaisi, head of training and Development at HMC’s Engineering and Health Facilities Department were present at the seminar.During the training, students are assigned to various facilities within HMC, including Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City, Hamad General Hospital, and Rumailah Hospital. Under the supervision of highly skilled engineers, students receive explanations about the importance and role of engineering professions in healthcare facilities, along with practical experience on ongoing projects.
