Qatari-African civil aviation training kicks off – The Peninsula

Doha: The third edition of the training programme organised by the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA) in cooperation with the African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) kicked off in Doha yesterday. It will continue until Sept. 1.

Held under the title “Aviation Environmental Protection and Alternative Fuels”, the training programme aims at developing the human resources in the field of civil aviation.

Acting President of QCAA Mohamed Faleh Al Hajri stressed in his speech the authority’s commitment to human resources development in the civil aviation sector and expressed the authority's readiness to cooperate with all regional and international organisations.

The training programme aims to raise the efficiency and competence of human resources in the African continent, consolidate cooperation between civil aviation authorities, unify positions in international forums, and achieve the common interests. In addition, the programme contributes to realising the interests of the national carrier of the State of Qatar, Qatar Airways, and increases opportunities for developing transport rights and expanding investment opportunities in Africa.

The programme participants include 20 trainees from African civil aviation authorities, as well as a number of AFCAC officials and QCAA employees.
