Shabo found in passenger’s bag seized at Hamad International Airport – The Peninsula

Doha: Customs authorities at Hamad International Airport (HIA) foiled an attempt to smuggle shabo into the country.

The contraband was found hidden in a passenger's bag arriving to Qatar. The total weight of the seized substance was 4.26 kilograms.

A few days ago, the Department of Maritime Customs seized a huge amount of banned tobacco which was stashed inside bags of fertilizers. The amount seized was 4,639 kilograms.

Customs officers are also provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to read the body language of passengers and to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
