‎Riyadh Air receives commercial license from GACA

Riyadh Air announced receiving the commercial license from the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) as a new national carrier in Saudi Arabia during a ceremony held in Riyad Airport to launch the airline's new livery.

The airline received the license from Minister of Transport Khalid Al-Jasser and GACA President Abdulaziz Al-Duailej.

Riyadh Air was launched by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) in March as a Riyadh-based carrier, with its operations center located at King Salman Airport.

The airline recently ordered up to 72 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft in a multi-billion-dollar deal.

The new airline is set to kick off commercial flights in early 2025, targeting 100 international destinations and about 100 million passengers annually.
