Saudi-backed Tesla rival Lucid Motors unveils four electric vehicle models

Lucid Motors, backed by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF), has unveiled production and pricing details of its Lucid Air electric vehicle line-up, with the 'base' model starting at just under $80,000.

The line-up includes the flagship Air, Air Touring, Air Grand Touring and Air Dream Edition with deliveries starting in the spring of 2021.

With up to 1,080 horsepower available in a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive architecture, the Lucid Air can accelerate a quarter-mile in 9.9 seconds. The company says

its EVs can achieve an estimated EPA range of up to 517 miles on a single charge.
