TotalEnergies and Altaaqa Alternative Solutions (“Altaaqa”, a Zahid Group Company) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to cooperate in delivering an integrated electric vehicle charging stations offering in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

TotalEnergies and Altaaqa will work together (under the Altaaqa EV brand name) to offer end-to-end comprehensive solutions for the development of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles with a holistic scope encompassing all the phases of electric vehicle supply equipment deployment (preliminary studies, engineering, project management, supply, installation, and technical operation).

Altaaqa EV will submit responsive proposals to both prime contractors and end-users, providing them with comprehensive electric vehicle charging station solutions. Combining TotalEnergies´ global know-how in the EV charging business and technology with Altaaqa’s commercial and operational excellence in the power generation sector will ensure that the Saudi Arabian EV market has access to the highest international standards of quality and safety.

This cooperation comes on the heels of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s recently unveiled Green Initiative and is aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 renewable energy pillar that encourages the move towards electric vehicles and the development of associated electric vehicles charging solutions.
