Transport authority says above 800,000 citizens work in passenger transport applications
More than 800,000 Saudi men and women work in passenger transportation applications in Saudi Arabia, the Transport General Authority’s Official Spokesperson Saleh Al-Zuwaid said.
These workers provided more than 65 million trips during 2021, with an average of 180,000 beneficiaries of the applications, Al-Zuwaid told Al-Ikhbariya TV Channel.
He also indicated that the average income of some workers in transportation applications reaches SAR 10,000, adding that 30,000-40,000 of them consider working in transportation applications a permanent job. More than 10,000 women work in the vehicle guidance sector, added Al-Zuwaid.
