UAE: Dhs400 fine for not wearing car seat belts

The Abu Dhabi Police will issue a Dhs400 fine per passenger to motorists who do not abide by the UAE traffic laws regarding the wearing of seat belts.

The police explained that in addition to the fine, the violator will be getting 4 traffic ‘black’ points.

The authorities stated that the law and fine aim to maintain the safety of road users, and to avoid injuries and deaths resulting from traffic accidents.
