BUiD 17th graduation ceremony sees the 1st cohort of undergraduates

Under the Chancellorship of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, and CEO and Chairman of the Emirates Group, The British University in Dubai (BUiD) celebrated the graduation of its seventeenth cohort of graduates at the Cultural and Scientific Association. The ceremony was attended by the University’s Council members, academic and administrative staff, and family and friends of the graduates.

For the last 16 years BUiD has celebrated the graduation of its students at the doctoral and Masters levels. This year BUiD will be celebrating the first cohort of undergraduates from two programmes, Business Management and Computer Science – Artificial Intelligence, as BUiD was the first University to offer Artificial Intelligence specialisation in the UAE.

The University’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdullah Alshamsi, welcomed the graduates, their families, and guests. He said, “This graduation ceremony is a special one for the university. Not only we are celebrating our first undergraduate cohort but we are also celebrating 20 years of achievements. The University was established by a Law signed by late Sheikh Maktoum bin Rashid Al-Maktoum in 2003. BUiD has since grew contributed in its own way to the fulfilment of the vision of the UAE
