CUD student among artists whose designs were selected for giving an arty look to parking meters

Parking meters in certain areas of Dubai have started sporting an arty look, following a unique initiative launched by Brand Dubai and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).. The move to add a touch of art to the parking meters is a joint project between Brand Dubai, the creative unit of the Government of Dubai Media Office, and the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) to creatively revitalise parking spaces in key areas of Dubai.. The objective is to turn Dubai into an open museum, with tolerance and diversity being the theme of the artworks.. Sheikha also got the opportunity to explain her artwork to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai.. Sheikha's artwork can be spotted on parking meters around Jumeirah Beach Road and Dubai World Trade Centre.. Besides Sheikha Fekri, the other Emirati artists contributing to the project are Reem Al Marri and Issa Al Noaimi..
