The Dubai Maritime Authority (DMA), which regulates the shipping and maritime sector in Dubai under the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, has launched a program aimed at strengthening partnerships across the sector in the emirate.

The program seeks to engage decision-makers from maritime transport companies in the DMA’s initiatives to enhance the sector’s contribution to Dubai’s economy.

According to the statement, “The program was introduced during an interactive meeting at Al Habtoor Hotel, which was attended by over 100 senior managers and decision-makers from international, regional, and local organizations that contribute to Dubai’s shipping and maritime sector, along with senior DMA officials.”

This program aims to establish a regular platform for periodic engagement with representatives of maritime companies to discuss market realities to improve operational efficiency, promote transparency, standardize procedures, maximize opportunities, strengthen investments, and enhance the maritime industry’s contribution to Dubai’s economy.

During the event, Sheikh Saeed bin Ahmed Al Maktoum, Executive Director of the Dubai Maritime Authority, gave opening remarks, stating that the recent legislative decree issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, with Law No. (3) of 2023, marks a new phase in enhancing the navigation and marine transport
