Dubai among world’s fastest-growing remote work hubs in 2021

Dubai is one of the world's most popular destinations for remote working, according to Nomad List, which collects data about people who travel around the world while working remotely. The crowdsourcing platform has ranked the emirate as the sixth fastest growing city for employees who telecommute in 2021, ahead of many destinations in Europe, Asia, Americas and the Middle East. Nomad List regularly tracks the movement of tens of thousands of digital nomads to find out the popular places to live and work remotely. The destinations are ranked by growth rates of check-ins made to places by Nomad List's members using live data that include more than 130,000 check-ins. The number of digital nomads' check-ins in Dubai went up by 67 percent this year alone, more than the growth recorded in the past several years. From 2016 to 2020, the number of check-ins went up by 53 percent. Remote working has been implemented by companies across the globe since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic last year.
