1. Firefighters put out house fire in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate

The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) extinguished a fire that broke out at a house in North Al Sharqiyah Governorate. No injuries were recorded.

The authority advises the importance of installing smoke and gas leakage detectors at home and shutting down electrical appliances immediately after use in order to avoid risks.

2. HM The Sultan congratulates President of China

His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik has sent a cable of congratulations to President Xi Jinping of the People's Republic of China on re-electing him as General Secretary of the ruling Communist Party of China for a third term.

In the cable, His Majesty the Sultan expressed his sincere sentiments and best wishes of success to President Jinping. His Majesty also wished the people of China further progress and prosperity and the cooperation relations between the two countries further development and growth.

3. Applications for trademarks, patents in Oman stand at 8,734 in 9 months

Over the first 9 months of this year (2022), the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion received 8734 applications for national and international trademarks and patents.
