Covid-19 case growth slows in Mena – MEED
Fears of fresh waves persist as the weekly incidence of coronavirus cases falls due to vaccine programmes
The number of Covid-19 cases in the Middle East and North Africa (Mena) region crossed 13,341,710 on 6 September, according to Worldometers data collated by MEED.
Countries in the GCC account for 19 per cent (2,488,091) of all regional cases, while Iran’s 5,129,407 infections make up 38 per cent of the 13.3-million tally.
