Ebdaa Microfinance and AOU collaborate to establish business incubator

Ebdaa Microfinance Company has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Arab Open University – Bahrain Branch, under which the two parties would work together to build a business incubator at the university’s headquarters after receiving clearance from the relevant authorities. This incubator is meant to provide a proper environment for Bahraini youth with entrepreneurial ideas to test their ideas and launch their projects, with complete logistical assistance from the university and financial backing from “Ebdaa.” This incubator is expected to support the entrepreneurship system in Bahrain by providing information, instructions, and easy financing for university students and young borrowers of the company’s clients, in line with the priorities of the economic recovery plan, which include increasing the contribution of start-ups to the GDP and creating more job opportunities for Bahrainis. This MOU also included a long-term work mechanism that allows university students and graduates to easily access “Ebdaa’s” financial services, such as unsecured loans and other types of loans, as well as regular meetings between company cadres and university students to encourage them to pursue entrepreneurship.
