Less Than 10 Percent of Employers Plan to Require Employees Be Vaccinated, Polling Shows

Less than 10 percent of U.S. employers have said they plan to require all employees to be vaccinated, based on periodic surveys from the research firm Gartner.

According to Andrew Challenger, senior vice president of Challenger, Gray & Christmas, a major outplacing firm, many employers want workers to be vaccinated, but have been holding back on making it required.

"It is a large risk over the head of every employer if there is an outbreak at the office," Challenger said. "But so far we have seen very few employers using a stick instead of carrots."
