Want Your Tax Refund in Crypto? TurboTax and Coinbase Have You Covered.

TurboTax is offering customers a new way to get their tax refunds: in cryptocurrencies.
The tax-preparing software, owned by
Intuit Inc.

, will prompt users to send parts or all of their refund to a
Coinbase
COIN -3.23%
Global Inc. account. Coinbase said those who don’t have an account will get a link to open one.
Users have the option to turn their refunds into more than 100 cryptocurrencies, such as bitcoin or ethereum.
Coinbase said the deal with TurboTax is part of its plan to grow its direct deposit business. Last month, New York City Mayor
Eric Adams
said he used Coinbase to convert his first mayoral paycheck into bitcoin and etherium.
