Built in southern France in the first century (AD) it isn’t far from the Roman city of Avignon, is a UNESCO listed World Heritage site and attracts over a million visitors each year. But the much-loved bridge has become a battleground in recent months over a plan by Amazon to build a large warehouse in the region.
