Health awareness programme held at MES Indian School – The Peninsula

Doha: As a part of World Hand Hygiene Day, an awareness programme was conducted by a team of doctors and volunteers from the Healthcare Infection and Prevention Control Department from Aster Hospital for the students of Class 4 recently at the Conference Hall of MES Indian School.

Dr. Binoy Kurian Specialist, microbiologist & Infection Control Office, Dr. Fuad Usman, Specialist, Dermatology & Venereology and Dr. Mahesh Patel, Operations, Licensing & New Initiatives, Aster DM Healthcare along with their crew conducted the session which mainly focused on giving general awareness on the need for hand hygiene practices, especially among the school students and their family in the current scenario of pandemic.

The session also included among other things health talk, a quiz for students, and a skit/dance by the Aster volunteers. Prizes and gifts were distributed to the winners, and education-oriented flyers to the students.

The training programme was coordinated by UzmaFatimee, Head of Junior Section in association with Shiju Sebastian, Gincy Wilson, Praseela K.A, nurses from the Welfare Department of the school, and the teachers of the Junior section.
