Eurozone inflation slides further to 2.9% in October

The annual rate of inflation in the eurozone dropped more than expected in October, the EU's official statistics agency said Tuesday.

Consumer price inflation in the 20-nation single currency bloc slowed to 2.9 percent, Eurostat data showed, the lowest rate since July 2021 and lower than predicted by analysts.
