OCCI to discuss economic issues during Ramadan evenings

Muscat: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) will organise four Ramadan evenings on the current economic trends and challenges facing the private sector.

A number of officials, experts and decision-makers will participate in the four evenings.

Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Board of Directors of OCCI, said that the chamber has prepared a programme for Ramadan evenings to cope with the requirements of the current stage and the OCCI strategy.

It is in line with the Oman Vision 2040, he said, adding the programme will discuss various economic issues.

The first evening will start on Monday, and discuss a number of issues related to the business environment and sustainability of the private sector business.

The other evenings will discuss the role of Future Fund Oman, the partnership between the government sector and the private sector in boosting the economic development programmes, facilitating the litigation procedures, enforcement of commercial judgments in light of the progress in information technology and the criminal accountability in the commercial companies law among other issues.
