Oman affirms support to women’s empowerment
EW YORK: The Sultanate of Oman has affirmed its keenness to support the role of women, empower them socially and economically and enhance their status in power and decision-making positions. This was unveiled during the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in tasks of the 68th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW). Oman was represented at the CSW session, held in New York until March 22, by Dr Laila bint Ahmed al Najar, Minister of Social Development.
