Egypt has received 150 million coronavirus vaccine doses so far: Health ministry – Egypt Today

CAIRO – 1 April 2022: Egypt has so far secured a total of 150 million doses of eight different coronavirus vaccines since the start of the pandemic, Spokesman for the Ministry of Health Hossam Abdel Ghaffar said. Egypt has imported doses of all vaccine types, including Sinovac, Sinopharm, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Moderna, and Sputnik V. The country’s holding company VACSERA has also produced millions of doses of the Chinese Sinovac vaccine locally over the past year. In March, Egypt’s Ministry of Health said that the average number of daily coronavirus infections and deaths has hit 788 and 12 respectively this week. In a statement, the ministry said the average number of daily recoveries reached 766 people after they received the required medical care, recording a total of 430,198 recoveries since the start of the pandemic.
