AGU organise workshop on children with learning difficulties and distance learning in the time of Covid-19

The Learning Difficulties and Developmental Disabilities Department at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU) recently organised a workshop that discussed the satisfaction of parents and teachers of children with learning difficulties with distance education, in light of the outbreak of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic in the Kingdom of Bahrain.



Presented by Social Psychology Associate Professor at the Learning Difficulties Department in the College of Graduate Studies (CGS) Dr Nadia Tazi, the workshop was based on a field study that gathered parents' views on distance education and measured their satisfaction rates.



The workshop targeted teachers, specialists, school principals, researchers and those interested in the field of learning difficulties, along with parents and educators, who were briefed in the workshop on the forms of e-learning and distance education for people with learning difficulties.



Dr Tazi explained that the field study commenced five months back during the beginning of the academic year 2020-2021, during the time which most schools and educational institutions have resorted to distance education to limit the spread of Covid-19.
