Saudi Chambers Seek Boosting Trade Relations with 124 Countries

President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers Hasan al-Huwaizi announced a comprehensive project to develop the Saudi-foreign business councils with several axes.

The project aims to increase the number of councils to 70 to boost the Kingdom’s trade and investment relations with more than 124 countries.

On Monday, the heads of Saudi foreign business councils held a meeting at the Federation’s headquarters in the presence of the Deputy Governor of the General Authority for Foreign Trade Deputyship of Private Sector Affairs and Global Presence, Fawaz bin Rafaa.

The development project aims to activate the councils’ role, contribute to achieving Vision 2030, and establish effective trade and investment partnerships that increase the private sector’s contribution to foreign trade.

The project includes holding quarterly meetings, attracting major companies and investors, and increasing the representation of women, entrepreneurs, and small and medium enterprises in council membership.

It also aims to boost funding sources, provide technical, logistical, informational, and human support for their activities, and develop effective plans for the economic goals of each country.
