‘Turning point’ for UAE
Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi (Kezad Group) and UAE-based Titan Lithium are investing AED5 billion ($1.4 billion) in a lithium processing plant in Abu Dhabi to support the region’s fledgling electric vehicle (EV) industry.
Kezad and Titan have signed a 50-year land lease agreement for the plant.
To be developed in three stages, the plant will produce battery-grade lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide for battery makers and EV manufacturers globally.
