Private vehicles constituted 79.6% of the total vehicles registered in Oman, standing at 1,326,587.

Vehicles with a capacity of 1,500cc and 3,000cc constituted 54%, totaling 902,244.

Among vehicle colours, white was the most preferred in the sultanate, comprising 42.7% to stand at 712,073. Meanwhile, vehicles in the color purple registered the highest increase (21.6%), followed by the color grey (10.9%).

Moreover, vehicles with commercial registration constituted 14.7% (244,486). Rental cars stood at 33,861 (2%), whole taxi cars stood at 27,881 (1.7%).

As far as vehicles weights are concerned, the number of vehicles weighing less than 3 tons stood 1,510,013, comprising 90.6% of the total registered vehicles in Oman. 1.6mn vehicles registered in 2023, rise
